Requirements on Marriage Formalities in Indonesia
The following Marriage Formalities
is copied from Civil Registry Office Denpasar - Bali.
Any foreign citizen who
wishes to get married in Indonesia has to complete the
following requirements.
- Copy of letter signed
by the priest stating that has performed a religious
ceremony according to their respective belief.
- A widow/widower must present
a copy of the death certificate of former spouse.
If there has been a divorce, the decree must present
a copy of divorced certificate.
- A letter legalized by respective
Embassy/Consulate General in Indonesia certifying
that the couple have no objection to getting married
in Indonesia (Certificate of no impediment to marriage
in Indonesia)
- Copy of a birth certificate
- Copy of passport
- Supply detail of full names,
address, profession of the witnesses (two witnesses
are required)
- Copy of the registration form
of the hotel they are staying at.
- A letter signed by both parties
certifying that their marriage is based on a mutual
agreement.
- Black and white photograph 6
x 4 Cm (6 pieces) of couple side by side in same photo.
- Couple must give notice of their
intention to register of marriage in the district
where the marriage is to be performed. This notice
must be given at least 10 working days prior to the
marriage.
- Pay for both the administration
fee and the issue of marital certificate. Other requirements
according to Indonesia marriage laws.
